Outreach

Alongside making work for an audience, Honey & Lemon facilitate classes, workshops and one-off events to movers and creative people of all levels. Take a look at our workshop offer below or get in touch to discuss a bespoke workshop for your community.

Honey & Lemon’s outreach projects aim to:

bring joy by moving the body

stimulate individual creativity

ignite or revive a love for dance

build confidence

connect with others

create understanding of what we do as performance-makers

As a woman-led company, we’re particularly passionate about creating opportunities for women of all ages, abilities and backgrounds to come together and become more confidently creative.

Honey & Lemon are currently Dance Artists in Residence at Mermaid Arts Centre with the support of The Arts Council and Wicklow Arts Office.

Our workshops

Dance: on Screen

Piloted at Axis Arts Centre, Dance: On Screen is an original workshop method developed for the over 55 and retired communities but can be catered to any group aged 16+. Combining two of our great loves, Dance: On Screen connects participants to dance through cinema. Take a step into the movies and learn the ropes from some of our favourite screen icons. This half-day workshop includes a film screening and creative movement workshop.

Cut Loose

Open level movement sessions for women of all ages and abilities to come together. The focus of these 1 hour sessions is to find confidence and joy through sharing a dance. Cut Loose caters to those aged 16+ and is available in blocks of sessions or as a one-off class.
