Amy

Amy is an Irish, movement-led artist and arts worker who works across performance, performance-making, facilitation and arts coordination. Amy completed her professional training at the Scottish School of Contemporary Dance, graduating in 2015 with a BA (Hons) in Dance. Upon graduating, she successfully auditioned for Step Up, Ireland’s graduate programme, in which she performed in a new commission by Helene Cathala on a short national tour. In 2017, she completed an MA in Performance as part of mapdance, the postgraduate touring company at the University of Chichester. During her time with the company, she performed in works by Richard Alston, Kevin Finnan (Motionhouse), Abi Mortimer (Lila Dance), Lee Brummer & Israel Aloni (ilDance) and Liz Aggiss on a national and international tour.

As a performer, Amy has collaborated with Tess Letham Projects, Niamh O’Loughlin, MorvellDance, Wessex Dance Company and Amy Toner among others. Amy has worked as an arts facilitator with participants from early years to professional level, including at the University of Chichester, Kings Youth Theatre, Central Youth Theatre and The Hive.

As an arts worker, Amy has produced, coordinated and assisted projects for a variety of organisations including the Kings Theatre, Sussex Dance Network, New Adventures, the Charleston Trust and Coney.
